A run of tool thefts in the Mornington Peninsula area have prompted police to warn tradies to secure their tools.
The tradies tools valued at around $32 000, mainly power tools, have been stolen from work vehicles parked around Frankston in Melbourne's south east. The police believe the tools could be resold at trade schools and work sites in the area.
Police are warning tradies and trade students to decline any offers to purchase second hand tools to reduce the market for these stolen items and discourage further robberies.
